Providing full EHS Support within all areas of the business and ensuring the organisation meets and exceeds its duties under the EHS legislation, driving the EHSS 3-year strategy plan and promoting a positive Health and Safety Culture within the business, your duties working as the EHS Advisor will include:

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring the IMS (Integrated Management System)
  • Provide guidance and advice to management and respond to health and safety related complaints and issues
  • Review incidents, identify corrective / preventive actions and ensure adequacy of the close out
  • Facilitate the collection, monitoring and reporting of EHS statistics and internal reporting
  • Supporting line management to investigate incidents and where requested undertake the investigation and lead the investigation team
  • Verifying and maintaining compliance with internal and external EHS requirements
  • Support management teams with the development/review of supporting EHS documentation
  • Developing and delivering EHS training / awareness courses
  • Providing support in the development of EHS Management system including, safe systems of work, procedures, risk assessments and completion of task / process risk analysis (HAZID, HIRA, FEMA) etc
  • Carrying out site workshop inspections/compliance audits and undertake active occupational monitoring i.e., COSHH within the workplace
  • Monitoring energy, waste data and maintaining environmental records
  • Keeping up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicating relevant changes to the business
  • Attending meetings and report on relevant health and safety matters
  • Supporting and managing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 legal register to ensure business is compliant

 

Previous experience in an EHS Advisor role with relevant skills and experience within a manufacturing environment, having an excellent understanding of OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001, ideally being qualified as an internal auditor status.  You will be resourceful and confident with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills at all levels, and have the desire to progress and develop. In addition, you will be able to challenge poor practice and provide solutions and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Publisher.  A full driving licence is essential for this role, together with a NEBOSH qualification.
