Your duties as Assistant Quality Manager will include:

  • Assist the Quality Manager in the day to day running of a busy quality department
  • Set tasks, monitor, provide guidance, set objectives for team and report monthly on the performance to QA Manager
  • Lead investigations and promote quality through the company and produce/present monthly reports
  • Any other duties that are deemed appropriate by the Organisation
  • Conduct systems audits in accordance with IATF 16949 to the schedule and raise non-conformances as required
  • Investigate all Non-Conformances to determine root cause and robust corrective action
  • Train/Assist in the process of supplier auditing
  • Assist/Lead on customer audits on site
  • Assist QA Manager with Certification/Surveillance audits
  • Identify areas for improvement across the organisation within the QA department and review existing QMS
  • Provide appropriate training within the organisation as required
  • Discuss quality issues raised as a result of customer complaints or WIP NCR’s within the company etc.
  • Monitor Internal NCR’s
  • Provide cover to any area of the QA department when required & and other duties


You will have previous experience of working within IATF 16949/ISO13485 environment, non-conformance management, supplier monitoring, error proofing/continuous improvement and managing a team.  In addition, you will be highly numerate and literate, able to write reports, possess good communication and computer skills, being detail focused with the ability to work on your own initiative possessing a desire to progress.
